JDRF-CIHR Partnership to Defeat Diabetes
In partnership with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Government of Canada announced a renewal investment of $15M for the JDRF-CIHR Partnership to Defeat Diabetes in late 2021. This funding will be matched by JDRF donor dollars and will continue to support clinical trials and translational research projects with an aim to improve care, treatment, outcomes, and cures for those living with T1D. It was announced in 2022 that two areas of focus will be precision medicine and mental health.
