JDRF Celebrates National Philanthropy Day
November 15, 2011
National Philanthropy Day is celebrated in hundreds of communities throughout North America by numerous fundraisers, government leaders, businesses and individuals who wish to honour all the contributions philanthropy has made.
JDRF would like to take the opportunity to honour and recognize the outstanding contributions made to families, stakeholders, sponsors, major donors and individuals committed to curing, treating, and preventing type 1 diabetes (T1D). Since our founding in 1974 by parents of children with T1D, JDRF has been driven by our passionate, grassroots volunteers who are connected to children, adolescents, and adults living with this disease.
JDRF continually recognizes that because of you, we are where we are today. Your boundless energy, commitment and tireless efforts help make an outstanding difference in the lives of over 300,000 Canadians living with T1D. These individuals are living longer, healthier lives with a higher quality of life, and lower risk of developing complications. JDRF could not be the world’s largest charitable funder and advocate of T1D research without your generous contributions, commitment and efforts.
JDRF will not rest until T1D is fully conquered. It is the unwavering dedication of valued supporters like you that make JDRF strong and successful – we could not do it without you!
