Whether it's the Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF or other JDRF events that take place throughout the year, they all require the help of volunteers to make them successful!
This help can be pre-event, working on one of many committees involving recruitment of participants, solicitation of sponsorships for items and services, or day-of event duties such as registration, route supervision, kids activities, barbecue/refreshment area, etc.
For information on the many volunteer opportunities available, please contact Melanie Bouphaphanh at 306-203-6458 or s[email protected]
Volunteers are the backbone of JDRF and their support is truly appreciated!
A third party event is a fundraising event for JDRF that is organized independently by an outside (third) party.
If your company, club or group is interested in helping raise funds for JDRF, there are many ways to do so. From raffles to barbecues, bake sales, garage sales, car washes, and golf tournaments, the only limit is your imagination!
If you wish to host a third party event in support of JDRF, or are interested in more information, please contact Melanie Bouphaphanh at 306-203-6458 or s[email protected]
When your child receives a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes (T1D), it can be an overwhelming time. As you navigate this challenging period of adjustment to life with T1D, you can find helpful information and support through the JDRF Bag of Hope®. The JDRF Bag of Hope is filled with useful resources for both the child who has been diagnosed with T1D and their caregivers. Along with educational materials, we’ve included a special friend — Rufus, the Bear with Diabetes® — to show your child they is not alone while learning to take shots and test blood sugar.
The 2019 JDRF Bag of Hope Program is made possible with funding from the following partners: Dexcom, ivari, Lilly and Roche.
