We had a wonderful 2017 JDRF TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes event—lots of new families to welcome, amazing corporate supporters, energetic and hopeful walkers and of course wonderful volunteers...AND NO RAIN!
We have so many people to thank for the success of this Walk. Thank you to all the volunteers and our amazing Walk Committee -- once again, you did an outstanding job! Thank you to our donors and supporters, your donations are supporting amazing research that will one day find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Thank you walkers, each year you come out, request donations, form your teams and you join the community--we can't thank you enough!! Thank you to our corporate supporters, many of them who are not touched by type 1 diabetes however want to make a difference in Windsor Essex County and because of this, they are making a huge difference in our lives. THANK YOU!
Thank you and congratulations to the Ford Windsor Site/Unifor Local 200/Unifor Local 444 team for hitting and surpassing the One Million Dollar mark in money raised in support of the JDRF TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes. The research that is being supported by your donations are changing lives right now and we as a T1D community. THANK YOU for that.
Edsel B Ford II would also like to thank you:
Thank you to our loyal local Sponsors: Green Shield Canada, Ford Windsor Site, Unifor Local 200 and Unifor Local 444. special thank you to Rose City Ford, Performance Ford, DDM Photo Booth, UPS and Koolini's for supporting this event and our amazing community. Thank you the Windsor Spitfires, Lee Valley, Dexcom, Medtronic and Animas for joining us on Walk day and a great big thank you to Sav from Mobile Beats for keeping us moving all day long.
