Join us for the 2018 REVOLUTION Ride to Defeat Diabetes

The JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes, presented by Sun Life Financial, is a high-energy stationary cycling event taking place in cities across Canada. Whether it’s a 10-minute ride or a 60 minute challenge, participants put their physical fitness to the test to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D)!

The JDRF Revolution Ride is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about T1D and raise essential funds to support JDRF-funded research, and a fantastic way for companies, community groups and individuals to unite in the battle to defeat diabetes while participating in a fun and energetic event!

In 2017, with the enthusiasm, generosity, and dedication of over 2,900 Ride participants, over $1.3 million was raised towards research to accelerate a cure for type 1 diabetes!

Help us raise more funds in 2018. Sign-up for the Toronto or York Rides!

Thank you for joining us for the 2018 Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes!

We would like to thank the more than 200 families and corporate teams who came out on Sunday, June 10 to show their support and raise funds for JDRF. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the Walk and we were honoured to celebrate the incredible advancement in T1D research over the last 25 years.

To date, we have raised close to $415,000 for the Toronto Walk and type one diabetes (T1D) research!

On behalf of JDRF and the more than 300,000 Canadians living with type one diabetes, thank you to all of our participants, donors, volunteers and corporate partners who help move us closer to turning type one into type none. We are deeply committed to this mission and we could not do it without you.

Mentor Program

Your child has just been diagnosed with diabetes. What do you do now?

When a loved one is diagnosed with diabetes, it can be a traumatic and stressful time. Fear, sadness, anger and confusion about how to manage the disease can leave families feeling alone and overwhelmed.

You're not alone. JDRF's Mentor Program Volunteers can help.

JDRF’s Mentor Program can provide much-needed emotional support, information about diabetes resources, education about what families can do to help find a cure and, most of all, be a good listener. JDRF’s Family Network is free of charge, and we are here to help as long as you need it.

Please note that our volunteers are not healthcare professionals and are unable to provide medical advice for which you should consult your doctor or other healthcare professional.

If you would like to learn more about the JDRF Mentor Program, please visit the T1D Hub.

For more information, please contact us at 647-789-2038 or ethomson@jdrf.ca
