Join us for the 2018 JDRF Revolution Ride to
Defeat Diabetes!

The JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes, presented by Sun Life Financial, is a high-energy stationary cycling event taking place in cities across Canada. Whether it’s a 10-minute ride or a 60 minute challenge, participants put their physical fitness to the test to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D)!

The JDRF Revolution Ride is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about T1D and raise essential funds to support JDRF-funded research, and a fantastic way for companies, community groups and individuals to unite in the battle to defeat diabetes while participating in a fun and energetic event!

In 2017, with the enthusiasm, generosity, and dedication of over 1,000 Ride participants, over $215,000 was raised towards research to accelerate a cure for type 1 diabetes!

Help us raise more funds in 2018. Sign-up for the Mississauga Ride!

Thank you to all of our participants who raised funds to cure Type One Diabetes! We had over 1000 people come out and walk for a cure. So far we have raised over $193,000! We appreciate each and every one of you! Please remember that the walk website is live and accepting donations until the end of the year! Thank you for helping JDRF find a cure for Type One! We would not be able to put on this walk without our Walk committee who work so hard all year. If you would like to join our walk committee, please email Brittany Voorberg at bvoorberg@jdrf.ca.
Thank you so much, Mississauga!

Bag of Hope

JDRF is pleased to provide our complimentary Bag of Hope, which contains a variety of educational and reference materials to help newly diagnosed children and families along the way.

To learn more about the Bag of Hope program, please visit the T1D Hub.

Mentor Program

Your child has just been diagnosed with diabetes. What do you do now? When a loved one is diagnosed with diabetes, it can be a traumatic and stressful time. Fear, sadness, anger, and confusion about how to manage the disease can leave families feeling alone and overwhelmed.

You're not alone. JDRF's Mentor Program Volunteers can help.

JDRF’s Mentor Program can provide much-needed emotional support, information about diabetes resources, education about what families can do to help find a cure and, most of all, be a good listener. JDRF’s Family Network is free of charge, and we are here to help as long as you need it. Please note that our volunteers are not healthcare professionals and are unable to provide medical advice for which you should consult your doctor or other healthcare professional.

If you would like to learn more about the JDRF Mentor Program, please visit the T1D Hub.

For more information, please contact us at 905.608.8067 or peelhalton@jdrf.ca.
