As a community, families and individuals living with type 1 diabetes face everyday stressors. Join us to learn tips and strategies on how to bounce back from T1D's daily challenges.

Keynote Speaker: Jess Foster MSW, RSW - Paediatric Diabetes Social Worker at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

A social worker who is passionate about connecting with children and families living and thriving with Type 1 Diabetes. For more than a decade, Jess has worked at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Pediatric Diabetes Clinic as well as been involved with the Friends For Life Conferences Canada and Orlando and served on various mental health committees of the Pediatric Diabetes Network in Ontario. 

Also featuring: Kathy Zhang, Master of Public Health and JDRF Research Information Volunteer, who will provide an update on exciting JDRF research projects.


Join us again on Sunday, June 14th, 2020 for a day of fun and celebration at the Streetsville Memorial Park, for our annual Sunlife Walk to Cure Diabetes. It is a fun-filled day with live music, food, face painting, inflatable games and more!

Looking for someone to talk to? You are not alone. Talk T1D is one on one support to people who are impacted by type 1 diabetes from trained volunteers who have been there. Get connected today!

JDRF Ambassadors

JDRF Ambassadors are children, youth and adults who are motivated to tell their stories to others. We train and support over 200 ambassadors to attend speaking events across the country at schools, workplaces and fundraising events. In Honour and In Memory Donations

In Honour
Make a donation to honour someone you love, or celebrate a special occasion. JDRF will send a personalized card to the person you honour on your behalf.

In Memory
Make a gift in memory of a loved one who has passed away. JDRF will send a sympathy card to the family and friends on your behalf.
