SAVE THE DATES!!!

Planning has started for the 2020 Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF events in this area, and we are looking to the local community to join us in our fight to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

There are three Walks in this area to choose from!

Sunday, June 14th - Pier 4 Park, 64 Leander Drive, Hamilton

Sunday, June 28th - D’Aubigny Creek Park, 5 Oakhill Dr. Brantford

Sunday, September 13th – Grantham Lions Club, 732 Niagara St., St Catharines

How can you help?

  • Walk with us - Family teams, corporate teams and individual walkers are all welcome to join us in our fight to Make Type One Type None. The Walk is a fun, family-oriented event with live music, kids activities and a BBQ lunch for all participants.
  • Corporate donations and sponsorships – there are many ways that local businesses can help, either with a cash donation, or a donation in kind of product or services to help reduce our event costs.
  • Volunteers are also needed, in various positions to organize these events, either before the event or on Walk day.

For further details on how you can help, contact Anne Martin at 905.664.1432

Volunteers Wanted

Whether it's the Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF, the Sun Life Ride to Defeat Diabetes for JDRF, or any other JDRF event that takes place during the year, they all require a considerable amount of volunteer help.

This help can be pre-event, working on one of many committees involving recruitment of participants, solicitation of sponsorships for items and services, or day-of-event duties such as registration, route supervision, kids activities, barbecue/refreshment area, etc.

For information on the many volunteer opportunities available, please contact Anne Martin at 905.664.1432/1.866.602.6662 or email [email protected].

Volunteers are the backbone of JDRF and their support is truly appreciated!
