Dr. Brian G. Feagan completed a medical degree at Western University in London, Ontario. His postdoctoral training included residency in the Department of Medicine and a clinical fellowship in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Western University.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Feagan holds membership in the Canadian and American Association of Gastroenterology, the American College of Gastroenterology, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Among Dr. Feagan’s many awards are the Western University Dean’s Award of Excellence, Medicine & Denistry (2003); the CAG Visiting Research Professor Award (2005); Western University's Faculty Scholar Award in Medicine and Denistry (2007); and the Hellmuth Prize for Achievement in Research (2008).

Dr. Feagan is well published in the peer-reviewed literature and he is a reviewer for theNew England Journal of Medicine, Gastroenterology, American Journal of Gastroenterologyand several other journals. He has authored several book chapters and served as Editor for several books, including Evidence-Based Gastroenterology and Hepatology (2010, Third Ed). In 1997, Dr. Feagan became Director of Robarts Clinical Trials at the Robarts Research Institute, Western University. Dr. Feagan’s research efforts focus on the design and implementation of randomized controlled trials of therapy for inflammatory bowel disease and he has been the principal investigator on numerous large-scale randomized clinical trials.
