Volunteers at TELUS Walks across Canada show true passion
“JDRF is a lean, well-run charitable organization. This is important to me as a volunteer. Based on the research I’ve seen, I am confident that a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) will be discovered. The volunteers at JDRF are passionate about the cause and as a result do an excellent job in organizing quality TELUS Walk events in their respective communities. On behalf of the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes Committee, I’d like to thank and congratulate all of our volunteers across Canada for their efforts in making the TELUS Walks such a great success.”
Keith Skiffington, Chair, National TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes, Family Team Development
“JDRF is a sophisticated organization which makes researching a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) its top priority. I know that I am aligning with an organization that makes a sustainable future for our youth possible. It may only be a few hours of your time to volunteer, but your contribution is invaluable in finding a cure to improve the quality of life for individuals at all ages and stages of this disease. I would like to extend my thanks to all those who take the time to volunteer across Canada and contribute to the great achievements of the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes.”
Dave Ramdial, Chair, National TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes, Organizational Team Development
Did you know, in 2012 more than $7.7 million was raised at the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes with more than 45,000 participants at over 70 sites!
