The JDRF Colouring Contest has a Winner!
Winning artwork by Oliver, age 5
The pencils were sharpened and the crayons were ready so contestants of the JDRF Colouring Contest could create their works of art. We received 49 creative and inspiring entries to the contest, and knew that picking a winner would be no easy task!
Among our guest panel of judges type 1 diabetes (T1D) advocates and champions, Kim Cooper and Sebsatien Sasseville helped to narrow down the 49 entries to just three. Based on the criteria for judging - use of colour, creativity and overall look - Madelyn, Sonia and Oliver’s drawings were selected to go to public vote.
It was a close race during the last week of voting, and we want to thank everyone who took the time to cast their vote, share the images and comment on the artwork. After a week of suspense, the artwork with the most votes belonged to Oliver! Congratulations to Oliver on a job well done, he will receive the grand prize: the Mattel Tower of Toys.
