National Volunteer Week 2014: Walk Blog

Volunteers are truly what makes the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes possible. With your support, JDRF is able to engage communities across the country in approximately 70 Walks. So much work goes into the planning and execution of these events that help attract over 45,000 Canadians to come together and raise funds for critical research. I am humbled by the contribution made by our Walk volunteers; from event day volunteers to our National Walk Cabinet, I offer my sincere thanks.

Colin Jenkins, National Walk Manager

For the past 40 years, JDRF has been well known for being a world leader in advocacy and research for a cure for type 1 diabetes. This is largely made possible through the countless families coast to coast volunteering their time with JDRF. Together we are steps closer to a cure and have improved the quality of life for all those living with T1D. I would like to thank all our dedicated volunteers across Canada for their continued support of JDRF and the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes!
