JDRF Canada's Diabetes Research Infosiums

We’re excited to announce a new spin on JDRF’s Diabetes Research Symposiums, our signature research event to share exciting updates on JDRF-funded research.  This year, the symposiums are taking a different approach and  will focus on many different trials taking place, instead of focusing on one area of research. Because of this we have decided to call it the Diabetes Research Infosium (or Infosium for short)!

JDRF Canada is committed to accelerating research on the most promising technologies to cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D) and the Research Infosiums are an opportunity to share all the latest research updates with you. In 2013, JDRF held 21 Diabetes Research Symposiums across the country. Researchers, doctors, academia, motivational speakers, government partners, foundations, clinicians, and diabetes champions came together to present research advances, updates and to discuss our common goal of curing, better treating and preventing T1D.

JDRF Canada has directed over $200 million to T1D research initiatives, since the foundation was established in 1974 and is currently supporting more than 50 clinical trials. The 2014 Research Infosiums will provide a platform to discuss JDRF’s research priorities, research highlights from the previous year, and exciting JDRF Canadian Clinical Trial Network (JDRF CCTN) projects.  If you are interested in learning more about JDRF-funded research, we would love for you to join us at one of the 2014 Infosiums. Please contact your local Chapter to find out about the next Diabetes Research Infosium near you.

JDRF Canada would like to thank everyone who participated and joined us at the 2013 Symposiums and we are very excited to see everyone back our for the 2014 Infosium season.  A special thanks to our sponsors – Bayer, Medtronic , and GSK  – for their generous support .

Lets turn type one into type none
