Support for JDRF comes in many different ways. Through volunteering, participating in events or making general donations. JDRF also offers a great online tool to ‘Fundraise Your Way’, allowing organizers to plan their own events to raise funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, and put their own flare into the event. That’s exactly what the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma did this past summer. Taking place in Toronto, Ontario in the Grand Ball at Casa Loma, the Greatest Gatsby Gala was surely the most glamorous event of the summer. The evening featured a silent auction, cocktail reception, gourmet cuisine, a spectacular dance show highlighting the most popular dances of the 1920’s, guests adorning their best 1920’s attire and a live band playing traditional Gatsby-themed music. It was a truly magical evening featuring traditions of the grandiose parties of the roaring twenties.
We are happy to announce that the Greatest Gatsby Gala raised $20,000 to support JDRF and T1D research. Thank you to all of the organizers, volunteers and guests for making this event so successful!
