Dave Prowten kicks-off National Volunteer Week
“From April 6 to 12, National Volunteer Week is being celebrated across the country. This week honours the extensive commitment and dedication our volunteers demonstrate through their continuous support across the country. Volunteer work speaks volumes – it changes lives and shapes communities. For 40 years, JDRF has been driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents and adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D). It is the passion, dedication and hard work of our tremendous volunteers that enables the success of JDRF’s national programs, such as our Advocacy initiatives, Outreach programs, Gala events, the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes and the JDRF Ride for Diabetes Research.
On behalf of JDRF, to all of our volunteers across the country, both past and present, thank you for your incredible support and determination to help us reach our ultimate goal of finding a cure for T1D. We couldn’t do this without you!”
