Boston Pizza is Back Again, Sharing the Love with Local Charities
Make your Valentine’s Day even more special by visiting a Boston Pizza location and ordering your own heart-shaped pizza. Boston Pizza Foundation (BPF) Future Prospects is spreading the love again and will donate one dollar from all heart-shaped pizzas sold on February 14th to JDRF to help turn type one into type none. In addition to the heart-shaped pizzas, Boston Pizza restaurants will be running their annual paper heart campaign, where $2 from every paper heart sold will be donated to charitable partners including JDRF. New this year, in addition to the hearts, guests can purchase a scratch and win ticket for $2.00 with a 1 in 4 chance to win a free Starbucks coffee in the restaurant, a free Panookie or $2 off a dessert.
We’ve been very fortunate to have the support of Boston Pizza and the BP Foundation over the years. At Vancouver’s 2013 Rockin’ for Research Gala Boston Pizza Foundation announced they would be renewing their $1 million pledge to JDRF!
Since our partnership with BPF Future Prospects began in 2001, the organization has contributed over $2 million to JDRF and our research initiatives. Their donation has a huge impact on what JDRF is able to accomplish and has directly supported clinical trials, including the Artificial Pancreas Project which is now in the human clinical trial stage. BPF Future Prospects supports the JDRF Ambassador and Leadership program which provides youth and teens with type 1 diabetes (T1D) opportunities for leadership, mentoring, and presentation training.
So, on February 14th, share the love with your family and friends at Boston Pizza – order a heart-shaped pizza to fill your bellies and your hearts!
