Advocates needed for Manitoba Lobby Day

Manitoba Lobby Day

T1D Heroes advocating for extended insulin pump coverage

On November 8th, 10 Advocates living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) will share with Members of the Legislative Assembly their experience living with T1D and the importance of extending insulin pump coverage to people of all ages. In Manitoba, to qualify under the current insulin pump program, you must be under the age of 18.

Manitoba should follow the lead of Alberta, Ontario, Nunavut, North West Territories, and Yukon – provinces and territories which already cover insulin pump costs for all residents. Insulin pumps should be provided for everyone living with T1D regardless of age.

You can help! Take action today. Ask that the current restrictions on insulin pump coverage be removed.

Event Date: November 8-9, 2017

Location:  Manitoba Legislative Building, Winnipeg
