Tilly is extremely dedicated to finding a cure, along with her dad, who also lives with type 1 diabetes. They have attended meetings together to speak to their local MP and have been able to bring both their perspectives into their advocacy. She has been a JDRF youth ambassador for JDRF Walk and Gala and presented a speech on #AccessForAll at Queen’s Park and at the Community Forum in Pickering. Her advocacy has landed her features in TV segments and newspaper articles, as well as a nomination for Inspire Women: The Next Generation. Tilly’s hobbies include horseback riding, soccer and digital art and she would love to be a K9 police officer or vet assistant in the future. Her goals with Kids for a Cure Lobby Day this year is to increase access to the latest devices, because staying alive shouldn’t be this hard.
