Mariah has been advocating for a cure ever since she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. In order to raise awareness and funds for research, she has participated in JDRF Walks, spoken at events, held a bake sale, hosted competitions with a focus on diabetic devices, and continues to meet with local policymakers. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, baking, swimming, and horseback riding.
