Four years ago, Liam was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and had a difficult time accepting the challenges of living with T1D. However, he has since changed his outlook on the disease and began getting involved with JDRF by participating in the annual Walk with his family. He enjoys studying astrophysics and quantum field theory and hopes to become an astrophysicist in the future. At this year’s Kids for a Cure Lobby Day, his goal is to advocate for a reduced price of insulin to lessen the stress placed on families living with T1D.
