Hunter remembers having 4 different kinds of needles, and up to 24 finger pokes/needles a day when he was first diagnosed. That adds up to a lot of pokes over the 5 years he’s had T1D. This motivates Hunter to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D), by fundraising for the Walk, and educating his community through media appearances. He loves Taekwondo, camping, family bike rides, and basketball, and hopes to one day play in the NBA. He’s ready to continue advocating and educating others in Ottawa to help find a cure.
