Anne has been living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) for over 3 years and have been involved with JDRF on numerous occasions. She is a JDRF youth ambassador and has raised awareness for T1D through public speaking, meetings with politicians and has participated in the #AccessForAll campaign. In her spare time, she writes a blog called That Stupid Pancreas! about her life with type 1 diabetes and her writing has been published in the Toronto Public Library magazine, Young Voices. Her hobbies include playing the guitar and singing, reading and art. Finding a cure would mean an end to this relentless disease and a feeling of freedom that she can only dream about.
