Kids for a Cure Lobby Day 2016
Kids for a Cure Make Huge Impact on Parliament Hill
In November 2016, 27 Kids for a Cure youth delegates and their parents travelled to Ottawa for two days of advocacy aimed at educating Canada’s Parliamentarians about the challenges of a life with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Held once every two years, Kids for a Cure Lobby Day is the largest and most meaningful T1D awareness campaign in Canada.
The kids took Parliament Hill by storm, making a real impression on the Members of Parliament and Senators they met. JDRF would like to thank our 2016 delegates and their families for sharing their stories. Special thanks as well to our sponsor, Medtronic, for making the event possible. We’ve captured a few of the highlights in the video slideshow below.
Interested in supporting JDRF Advocacy? While the Kids for a Cure is a youth focussed event, we’re looking for T1D Advocates reflecting all ages and all stages.
