Please join us on March 30th for our First Annual Family Kick-Off Event! This will be an opportunity to learn more about the 2014 Toronto Walk, meet other families and participants, and share fundraising ideas. We are also thrilled to announce Austin Basis from the TV show Beauty and the Beast will join us…AND we just confirmed John Chick, a football defensive end for the Saskatchewan Roughriders will help kick off our event!

Great Escape Golf Event
Thank you again to everyone who helped make last year’s Great Escape so memorable. If you’ve never joined us, there’s always room for new golfers and if you like to golf, you’ll love The Great Escape.
The Great Escape is an annual golf trip generously supported by BMO Financial Group, that anticipates our golfers’ every desire; a private flight, luxurious accommodations and golf at a prestigious course or two.

We invite you to celebrate JDRF Canada’s 40th anniversary by joining the cycle-bration; one big party on a bike to celebrate you, your ride and the progress made in type 1 diabetes research over the past four decades.
The JDRF Ride for Diabetes Research is a team-based event where teams of 5 riders register, raise pledges and ride on a stationary bike in 6 minute intervals over the course of an hour while dancing to the top party tunes from 40 years ago to today.

The day was a hot one but not a deterrent for the 140 golfers who came out for the cause and didn't let the weather sour their smiles. As the day winded down, golfers relaxed indoors and enjoyed a delicious dinner while exploring the unique items on display for silent auction, live auction and raffle.

You or a family member has just been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D); what do you do now? When faced with such a diagnosis, it can be a traumatic and stressful time possibly leaving you and/or your family feeling alone and overwhelmed but you're not alone.
JDRF’s Family Network Volunteers can provide much needed emotional support, information about diabetes resources, education about what families can do to help find a cure and most of all, be a good listener... we are here to help. Please note, our volunteers are not healthcare professionals and are not authorized to provide medical advice for which, you should consult your doctor or other healthcare professionals.
