HELD: JUNE 9th @ CNE-BANDSHELL PARK... MARK YOU CALENDAR'S FOR SUNDAY JUNE 8th, 2014!
You helped us transform a regular day in the park into an inspirational celebration!
The sense of community, unity, passion and dedication couldn't have been more evident; you made the day SO special for so many people. The day's celebration was in recognition of all the hard work you put into raising crucial fund for T1D Research and we are so grateful for your committment to JDRF and the TELUS Walk.
Please accept our humble appreciation for everything you did to make it a great day and our best year yet! We're so grateful to have you part of the JDRF family, thank you, thank you and thank you again!
We're tracking well towards our goal but it does take a while to reconcile funds brought to us on day-of. We will keep you posted as we know more within the upcoming weeks.
Remember, you can continue to fundraise until December 31st so just because the event is past doesn't mean you have to stop fundraising; perhaps there were still a few people you didn't get around to asking or you didn't quite meet your goal, this is your chance so go for it!
INCENTIVES - We had so many hard-working fundraisers this year that we ran out of some of our incentive prizes but not to worry, we have your names and will ensure you get your prize in a timely fashion; we apologize for the inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding, thank you.
A heartfelt thanks to our Chairs and Committee Members for all their hard-work in helping JDRF reach our 2013 TELUS Walk goal... we can't do it without you.

Time to tee off another Great Escape; we celebrated big last year, in honour of the event’s 10th anniversary but that isn’t stopping us from making this year just as exciting.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make last year’s Great Escape so memorable. If you’ve never joined us, there’s always room for new golfers and if you like to golf, you’ll love The Great Escape.
The Great Escape is an annual golf trip generously supported by BMO Financial Group, that anticipates our golfers’ every desire; a private flight, luxurious accommodations and golf at a prestigious course or two.
The destination for 2013 is Nova Scotia and the dates are Monday, August 26 to Wednesday, August 28 at two exclusive, oceanfront courses; Cabot Links (ranked #1 new course in Canada by Golf Digest) and Highlands Links (ranked #7 in Canada by Golf Digest).
Stay tuned right here for everything you'll need to know. If you have any questions about our Great Escape Golf Event, please contact Ron Depaola at firstname.lastname@example.org or 647-789-2042.
We did it…you did it… you helped us raise over $3 million for 2012, thank you so much.
For anyone who has not participated in our Ride for Diabetes Research event before, it’s a team based event whereby five riders take turns on a stationary bike. In celebration of the 70’s which was when JDRF was founded, we themed 2012 around DISCO and it was our grooviest event to-date.
This year, we’re celebrating the Ride’s 25th Anniversary and what better way to party then with Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Join any or all of our Rides; Toronto Ride - September 26, Real Estate Ride - September 24 and York Ride - October 9.
For information about the Toronto Ride, contact Cara Ravesi at email@example.com / 647-789-2020 and for information about the York and Real Estate Rides, contact Danielle Benson at firstname.lastname@example.org / 647-789-2034.

JASON KELLY CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT
Organizers, Mark Kimel, Jerry & Donna Kelly and Honouree Jason Kelly celebrated their 7th Annual Jason Kelly Classic "Thanks a Million" Golf Tournament on Monday July 15th at Station Creek Golf Club (Gormely, ON) with Title Sponsor, Novo Nordisk, in honour of raising $1 million dollars (collectively) for T1D Research.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MAKING THIS EVENT HAPPEN AND FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT AND LOYALTY!
The day was a hot one but not a deterrent for the 140 golfers who came out for the cause and didn't let the weather sour their smiles. As the day winded down, golfers relaxed indoors and enjoyed a delicious dinner while exploring the unique items on display for silent auction, live auction and raffle.
