2015 Toronto Promise Ball - A 'Fun'draising Gala

Since the very first Toronto Promise Ball in the early 80’s, this amazing event has raised over $19 million - critical funds that have been directed to the most promising and innovative diabetes research.

Although the format has changed over the years, the event continues to be one of the largest and most successful galas in Toronto. With a focus on great food, entertainment, amazing auction items and raffle prizes, and the opportunity to support the ground breaking research being funded by JDRF, the 2015 Promise Ball will continue this tradition.

This year, the Promise Ball will be taking place:

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2015
Time: 5:30 p.m.

Many of you took the very important step of setting a fundraising goal. If you have reached your target or have plans underway to do so, please accept our sincerest gratitude! If you're nearing that finish line, by saying "I am the reaching my goal type" you can help raise an additional $1.8 million for JDRF, ensuring our funding commitments are met. You can continue to raise funds through to December!

School Fundraisers

Five Mazo de la Roche P.S. students, who have type 1 diabetes (T1D), raised awareness by doing presentations for all of the 600 grade 1 – 8 students and staff.  The campaign culminated in an “Active-a-thon” fundraiser at the Newmarket, Ontario French Immersion  public school located in York Region.   Mazo’s “vedettes du diabète” (Superstars) raised over $1,500 for diabetes research for JDRF.   In the photo are Mazo’s “vedettes du diabète”.  Front Row (left to right):  Nicole, Teagan, Jeffrey, Chloe    Back Row (left to right) Claire and Principal Michael O’Reilly.   Anyone interested in looking for information about having an educational  fundraising campaign can contact the Principal at: michael.oreilly@yrdsb.ca.
