Thank you to the guests that joined JDRF at the 5th Annual Starlight Soiree! It was a glamorous night of delicious food, live entertainment, and unique auction items that raised $116,000 to support JDRF’s mission to cure, better treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Thank you to all the guests, volunteers, and sponsors that made this evening a great success. We hope to see you at next year’s Starlight Soiree to help make T1D a thing of the past!
From everyone here at JDRF Peel/Halton, thank you for joining us at the Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes! We are inspired by your dedication and support to go further to defeat diabetes.
The Ride was an incredible day and would not have been a success without you!
Together we have raised over $300,000! Thank you for going the distance to accelerate T1D research!
Thank you for your support!

Bag of Hope
JDRF is pleased to provide our complimentary Bag of Hope, which contains a variety of educational and reference materials to help newly diagnosed children and families along the way.

Your child has just been diagnosed with diabetes. What do you do now? When a loved one is diagnosed with diabetes, it can be a traumatic and stressful time. Fear, sadness, anger, and confusion about how to manage the disease can leave families feeling alone and overwhelmed.
You're not alone. JDRF's Mentor Program Volunteers can help.
JDRF’s Mentor Program can provide much needed emotional support, information about diabetes resources, education about what families can do to help find a cure and, most of all, be a good listener. JDRF’s Family Network is free of charge, and we are here to help as long as you need it. Please note that our volunteers are not healthcare professionals and are unable to provide medical advice for which you should consult your doctor or other healthcare professional.
If you would like to learn more about the JDRF Mentor Program, please visit the T1D Hub.

Without people like you, JDRF would not be able to do the things we do – so put your passion into play! There's no limit to the different ways you can personally help raise funds and awareness in support of diabetes research. Whether it's a challenging sporting activity, celebrating a birthday or marriage, honouring a loved one, or organizing a trivia night, you can start your own fundraising campaign and have friends, family, and colleagues sponsor you towards raising funds for your worthy cause.
For more information on how to start your own community event, please contact Asha at 647-789-2035 or email email@example.com or visit Fundraise Your Way.
Make a donation to honour someone you love, or celebrate a special occasion. JDRF will send a personalized card to the person you honour on your behalf.
Make a gift in memory of a loved one who has passed away. JDRF will send a sympathy card to the family and friends on your behalf.
For more information about how you can make a donation or start an In Honour/ In Memory Campaign, please contact Ivy Law at 647.789.2037 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A donation of your time is valuable to JDRF. JDRF relies on its dedicated volunteers to achieve its mission to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
If you’re interested in volunteering at an upcoming event or during office hours, please contact email@example.com.
