Hamilton - June 14, 2015

Plans are underway for the 2015 TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes in Hamilton at Pier 4 Park, and we are already receiving registrations from many new families who will be joining us to help raise funds for T1D research.

The TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes is an amazing day, and an opportunity for families to get together with other families affected by T1D and share stories, and provide inspiration to each other. We have live music, a kid's area and a post event BBQ for all participants. All in all it is a very enjoyable day for all who participate.

We hope to see all the families come back who were new to the Walk in 2014, as well as the families who may not have walked with us for a while, come out and join together in support of all our loved ones.

If you would like more information on registering a team, either with your family, or from your place of work, contact the JDRF Office at 905.664.1432 or Toll Free 1.866.602.6662. We also have many sponsorship opportunities, if you cannot enter a walk team, however you participate, your support is much appreciated.

What is a third party event? It is a fundraising event for JDRF, organized independently by an outside (third) party.

If your company, club, or group is interested in helping raise funds for JDRF, there are many ways to do so. From raffles to barbecues, bake sales, garage sales, car washes, and golf tournaments, the only limit is your imagination!

If you wish to host a third party event in support of JDRF, or are interested in more information, please contact Anne Martin at 905.664.1432/1.866.602.6662 or amartin@jdrf.ca.
