It’s all about being there for each other. Your child has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D). What do you do now? When a loved one is diagnosed with T1D, it can be a traumatic and stressful time. Fear, sadness, anger, guilt and confusion about how to manage the disease can leave families feeling alone and overwhelmed. Please feel free to join us for our monthly T1D Parent Meetings, as we can share our experiences in an informal setting, giving opportunity to learn from each other. The adult meetings are open to extended family members and friends that want to learn more about the disease and how to best support their loved ones.
Kelowna meetings are held on the second Monday of every month, from 7– 9pm at the Coast Capri Hotel lounge in Kelowna.
In case of holidays or summer meeting dates, please join our facebook group "Okanagan Type One Parents" or contact Pam Prentice for updated information on our meetings at 250.765.9366 or email@example.com
We hope to see you there!
