MBS Cyclebetes 200

Saturday, September 6


The annual Mike's Bike Shop Cyclebetes 200 Ride for Juvenile Diabetes departs Dieppe at 7:30 am and goes to  Sussex and back.  All funds raised from this event goes to fund a cure for type one diabetes. Information on the event contact Mike.  If you would like to support this effort click here.

Volunteers are needed for support vehicles either one way or return trip. Contact JDRF 857-4255.

Touch A Truck

Saturday, September 20

The 3rd annual edition of Touch-A-Truck returns to the Moncton Coliseum Parking lot! Kids of all ages will explore over 70 vehicles from transportation, construction, aviation, farming, military and more!

Gates open 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.  Cost is $5.00

All proceeds from this event go to research to help find a cure for Type one diabetes. For information on the event, sponsorship opportunities or to volunteer day of event, call JDRF at 857-4255.

JDRF Ride for Diabetes Research

Friday, October 3             

 

Moncton City Hall Plaza

Ride times 10:00 am, 11:30 am and 1:00 pm

  • Stationary bike-a-thon (we supply the bikes)
  • Friendly competition among colleagues
  • Teams of 5 ride for seven minutes each
  • Funds raised support research to find a cure for type one diabetes

This is a Fun, High Energy, Great team building event! Excellent music, lots of prizes to be won!

World Diabetes Day (WDD)

Friday November 14

World Diabetes Day is recognized all around the world to raise awareness of all forms of diabetes, its signs and symptoms, and to gain support for critical research toward preventing, better treating and curing all forms of the disease.

What are your plans to celebrate this year?

  • Dress in  Blue?

  • Bring Blueberry muffins into work?

  • Place a blue light in your window at home?

  • If you have an idea on a group celebration, let our office know!

Volunteering

Many of the richest people in the world are not millionaires, they are volunteers.

JDRF is always in need of volunteers to assist with fundraising events throughout the year.

Outreach

You are not alone… Parent Support Group

When a loved one is diagnosed with diabetes, it can be a traumatic and stressful time. Fear, sadness, anger, and confusion about how to manage the disease can leave families feeling alone and overwhelmed. Our Outreach Volunteers work hard to plan activities for families with loved ones with T1D, be sure to be let us know if you want to be included in these invitations.
