Congratulations! You’re just one click away from Counting yourself In! JDRF’s Count Me In program aims to build a database of Canadians affected by juvenile (Type 1) diabetes. Currently, there is no system in place to capture the amount of Canadians affected by this disease – a crucial number when trying to make the government take this disease more seriously. Also, when you count yourself in, you will receive an “Empowerment” package which will give you the tools needed to stay informed about the world of diabetes research, government advocacy, support, special offers, and fundraising opportunities to help us get to the finish line quicker. Countdown Magazine Countdown offers in-depth analysis about cutting-edge research and new treatments, and also features poignant stories from some of the more than 1 million North Americans who have juvenile type 1 diabetes and their families. Based on the needs of people with diabetes, and their loved ones, Countdown focuses on research and its potential to help people with diabetes. It also provides articles on the effects of research on the way people with diabetes must live their lives. You will receive one copy of the magazine with the opportunity to subscribe to the quarterly publication.

Research Frontline E-Newsletter You will be automatically subscribed to JDRF's Research Frontline e-mail newsletter which is published 10 times a year to provide you with the latest information about research on Type 1 diabetes and its complications. The newsletter is available in HTML format, with links to additional information.

JDRF Events A majority of funding raised for research comes through events. JDRF events not only provide an opportunity for friends, family, and colleagues to show their support of finding a cure for this disease, these events are also a venue for families to come together and meet others just like them to create a support network. You will receive updates via e-mail of upcoming events and how to get involved.
