National Diabetes Awareness Month

November was National Diabetes Awareness Month!

November was National Diabetes Awareness Month, an international celebration and awareness month for diabetes. Throughout the month, and specifically on November 14 - World Diabetes Day - families, individuals and organizations across Canada came together to raise awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Exciting activities and events ranged from balloon releases, human blue circles, having key monuments illuminated with blue lights and a chance to share stories with the diabetes community.

We are thrilled with the response to this year’s campaign and thank everyone who took the time to spread awareness about T1D and JDRF’s efforts toward curing, better treating and preventing T1D.
